Ciara Sloan is a lecturer within the School of Home Economics. She is a graduate of St. Angela’s College, Sligo with a Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and Gaeilge. She is also a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin with a Masters in Education. Ciara is currently a Doctor of Education student in Maynooth University specialising in Teacher Education.


As part of the Doctorate in Education in Maynooth University, Ciara is currently researching the area of School-University Partnerships, and drawing upon collaborative professionalism to support student teachers in Initial Teacher Education.


Ciara is an Associate with the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) in the areas of Home Economics, Formative Assessment, DEIS and JCSP.
