Patsy is a lecturer and programme Director of the BNSc (General Programme) within the Department of Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies. She is a graduate of National University of Ireland, Galway with a PhD in Health Promotion. Her PhD thesis examined health behaviours of college students in the areas of physical activity, healthy eating and Psychological Well Being. Patsy is also a Certified Coach in Health and Wellness and has recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and Well Being Coaching.


Patsy’s research interests include all areas involving Health and Well-Being, the Promotion of Physical, Mental and Psychological Well-being.  Coaching; Motivational Interviewing; Recovery approach to Mental Health Care.
