Conferring 2020 and COVID-19 Guidelines

We appreciate that those graduating this year were eager to have a Conferring Ceremony to mark the end of their studies. Under current public health guidelines, having any face-to-face ceremonies should be avoided and that scheduled ceremonies are replaced with a virtual event or postponed to a later date, at which time guidelines will also have to be considered.

We asked our Graduands in a recent survey what they would prefer and the majority (60%) voted for a postponed ceremony after February 2021, exact date to be confirmed. We will commence planning for a small group of face-to-face ceremonies taking due cognisance of public health guidelines but we will also have a back-up plan of a virtual ceremony if needs be. Further details will be emailed to all Graduands as they become available.

Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times, you have reached a considerable milestone by successfully completing your University-level studies at St. Angela's College and this is a very special occasion to mark. However, if you choose to celebrate in your own way in the meantme, please do so carefully, considering your own and others safety at all times.
