The Land of Heart's Desire
World famous poet and Nobel Prize winner, W.B. Yeats, developed a special affinity with Sligo, referring to the area as "The Land of Heart's Desire" and the shores of Lough Gill provided inspiration for his piece "The Lake Isle of Innisfree". It is here that St. Angela's College is nestled, right in the heart of Yeats Country and in one of the most scenic and tranquil locations imaginable.
